Because we are spread out across Europe, we learn our music individually and meet together for two to four rehearsal weekends a year, and before each festival performance.
We often gather in the rehearsal rooms of partner choirs in Europe. That makes it wonderful, because some of the singers are musically involved in different choirs! Otherwise, we usually rehearse in local LGBTQ+ community centres. An electric piano can usually be easily organised on site.

The rehearsals are usually 9:30-4:30 on Saturday, and 10-3ish on Sunday. And they are usually designed as hybrid events to enable those who cannot attend on every agreed weekend to participate.
The dates are announced many months in advance: on the one hand to increase personal anticipation 😉 and on the other hand to keep the travel costs, which most people cover out of their own pockets, as low as possible.
We try to support singers who are economically very limited as much as possible – by providing private accommodation in our homes (which usually leads to wonderful little fiestas!) or with other creative solutions. We make these arrangements in person, and they are approved in general by the choir once a year.
Btw, if you want to support this European idea with a donation: Just drop us a mail … In the UK your donation may allow us to avail of Gift Aid in the UK as we are a member of a charity network. More information will follow shortly. Every donation is welcome.
A mostly climate friendly approach, whenever it is possible, guides our inevitable travel
We try to pick a venue that is convenient 🚂 for most of us to get to and stay at, and we make every effort to accommodate mobility needs of members.
Choir weekends have taken place in Berlin, Malaga, Dublin, Groningen, Leeds, Brighton and Cologne, Antwerp, Brussels – the last destinations for most of us are environmentally friendly to achieve. But we love to travel elsewhere too, if someone has a key to a rehearsing room and knows a good place to meet in the evening 🗝️🎹🪩.
At least the social side of our choir gives a special value to learn and laugh together, especially in these crazy times.

Let´s meet with our musical dream team [ HERE ].
